Numbers 26-29

Numbers 26-29

About the Reading:

We start out with another census.  We then learn of a new rule that is made for a man who has no sons.  That man's daughters is to get his inheritance.  If no daughters, then go down a specific line in the family.  We also learn more about offerings.

My Thoughts and Notes:

The part that stood out to me today was the inheritance...once I got through all the census stuff (still not any easier to get through).  I would have thought, however, that this issue of a man's inheritance if he has no sons would have come up sooner.  Maybe it was an issue before, but this is the first time that it was brought up to God.  A fair and just ruling, give it to the daughters!  It makes sense, right?

What stood out to you today?
