  1. Here are some of my thoughts first off I really love reading about the Ark. I have watched many shows about the Ark and what always amazes me is no one has ever found it or even knows where it is! Now that is truly one of Gods mysteries. I personally believe God had his Ark made to serve a specific purpose and once that purpose was achieved God destroyed his Ark to keep it from falling into human hands! Can you imagine if Adolf Hitler or Joseph Stalin got their hands on the Ark it is a known fact that both of those men had people searching all over the world for the Ark. I also find it interesting that God gave Moses’ the battle plan to set things up the way God wanted it set up. To me this is a significant point God is putting his trust into human hands to carry out his will. We all know God could have just made it happen by his self but chose not to. Here is how the book of Numbers came to be. The Book of Numbers derives its name from the account of the two censuses of the Hebrew people taken, one near the beginning and the other toward the end of the journey in the desert (chapters 1-26). It continues the story of that journey, begun in Exodus, and describes briefly the experiences of the Israelites for a period of thirty-eight years, from the end of their encampment at Sinai to their arrival at the border of the Promised Land. Numerous legal ordinances are interspersed in the account, making the book a combination or law and history. The various events described clearly indicate the action of God, who punishes the murmuring of the people by prolonging their stay in the desert, at the same time preparing them by this discipline to be his witnesses among nations. God had all of Israel divided into tribes, each into clans, and each clan into ancestral houses. As for the Levites they were not enrolled in this census, which was principally for military purposes, but a separate census was made of them. I have made little connections in my readings of not only the bible but other Catholic literature that has reinforced the belief that God was setting things up for the arrival of Jesus. Now I also believe God was the people to see if one they truly believed in God and also to see if they would use their free will to follow God’s laws and commandments or go off a worship strange God’s. From what I see they about 50/50 most of the time. They worship the strange Gods but when the poop hits the fan or God rattles their cage so to speak they turn tail and run to God and beg him for mercy! I guess some things never change I am sure we are all guilty of worshipping those strange Gods but for us those Gods are money, power, and even the tv or anything else we give more time to then thanking God for all the blessing he gives us. As for the Passover allow me to share this definition with you 10,10: Days of celebration: special holidays, such as the occasion of a victory. Festivals: the great annual feasts of the Passover, Pentecost, and Booths described in Lv 23; Nm 28-29. As for the first Passover we can see the lambs as a metaphor for Jesus “Lamb Of God You Take Away the Sins of the World Have Mercy on Us”. The Blood also can be seen as Jesus blood at the last supper when Jesus take the cup raises it gives thanks and says take this all of you and drink from it this is the cup of my blood The blood of the new and everlasting covenant which will be shed for you so that sins may be forgiven do this in memory of me. I am also getting sleepy so I will leave you with those thoughts to ignite more sharing.
